I will never understand the logic of people who refuse to pay a diagnostic fee but will spend up to $500 on unnecessary parts trying to find a problem. See it all of the damn time

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars djyoksi says:

Why not test drive it and force check engine to pop up.

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars scrag2841 says:

With the knowledge of "just cuz it's new doesn't mean it's good" wouldn't you want to leave the smoke tester on and see the vent working properly once it was installed?

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Remington says:

    Thanks!

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Raoul Cruz says:

“There is no not piece of junk aftermarket parts available. “. Yep

Tired of wasting time and money installing new junk parts. Installing failure in a car is frustrating.

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars GMAN says:

YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD THE CUSTOMER TO BRING THE CAR BACK WHEN THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT COMES BACK ON.

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Emmett Turner says:

Just spent a bunch of money replacing the coolant level sensor and it’s doing exactly like the first. This video may seem unrelated but it makes me feel that maybe taking it back for another sensor isn’t a waste of time.

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jason Moran says:

Hey Rain? I have been watching for a while, I do alot of my own maintenance and like seeing how you do stuff, personality is a plus( like the phone tone) . Hey you have any videos on a honda accord v6 or crosstour v6 4wd

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Robert S says:

Allmost good job. New part test recommended using smoke.

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Big Al says:

Very cool. This is my second video I've watched. Great again. Glad to see you like Harbor Freight like I do. Ha. Thanks again for putting these up for us to watch.

Talk about a shot in the dark there.

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Josh the vegan says:

You should have painted it green so you know it's good

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars BloodyOmen says:

It's funny how customers or the service people who accept the repair request think we car mechanics can fix problems fast every time in 10 minutes and everything is fine. They don't mind that often a diagnostic process is needed to make sure we find the faulty part AND what caused the fault,so we make sure it's not happening again. But no one has time, everyone is in hurry and if the failure comes back the mechanic is the dumbass 🙄

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars NOTACAB says:

Is that a dorman product LOL

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James Noecker says:

As someone who owns a 2002 Suburban… the evap code has been on too long. Been checked many times, had the purge replaced, and even changed fuel cap. Nothing. I hate evap leaks.

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Luc Luc says:

Couldnt you have checked live data in order to help diagnose the problem? It helps to have a code but live data can tell you alot too 🤔 not questioning your methods cuz they seem to work 😅 just wondering

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars CronosGolden says:

Sounds close to the problem I had. But it was just a bad purge valve.

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Vivian Parslow says:

    What a novel idea.

i have the same issue with my 02 trailblazer ext the check engine light only comes on when the tank is under 1/3 full

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars You know me says:

You are a smart mechanic, video evidence of the repairs you make.

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dan Lybarger says:

Bad new parts are not uncommon, even though it's a small part I bought a brand new 30 Amp Fuze holder and it was defective so I understand what you are dealing with on that valve

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Stylez nun says:

Yeah let’s erase the codes, typical idiot that loves erasing codes thinking it will “solve the problem” just to get the “annoying light” away.

    Blows my mind every time

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Billie Maier says:

Those "new" parts you buy might not be new. It is possible that some one bought a part then cleaned their old one to look new put it in the box and returned it to be sold to someone else.

As an owner of an incredibly crappy 2005 Chevy Trailblazer, I'm just surprised the instrument cluster gauges still work.

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Joseph Rogers says:

Question every time I fill up my car won't start I have to push the gas pedal to get it to start I replaced the purge solenoid no echeck light 2007 Hyundai accent manual

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Eno Yaka says:

don't you have incentive to screw peoples cars since you make more money from these videos and that makes them more interesting? conflict of interest?

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Peter Parsons says:

Amazon parts. “Roll the dice” your words. I’m about 7/10 on “new parts” from the inter web. You have preferred suppliers for your replacement parts and can match the grade of parts to the requirements, and identify parts to stay away from.
My mechanic helps me by recommending replacements.

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ben Avery says:

    "Electron infuser…"
    ROFFLMFAO!!!

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars dutchguy1975 says:

What surprises me is that you can bring your own chinese imitation parts to the shop and let you guys put it in. If I bring my car to a shop here with my own parts with it they will not put them in, they only put in parts they sell themself.

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kenneth Wigmore says:

Most good mechanics would check the gas cap is tight . Duh

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Steve Stine says:

Tell him cuz he reset it you will need to drive it for a few days till all the sensors cycle to.see if the light comes back on

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mantiscore Gaming says:

As an apprentice mechanic…your channel is a god send. The shop I'm at likes to leave me to the wolves. They check. My work, but I'm on my own until I get stumped. Thanks to you. I rarely get stumped anymore…usually cuz I just don't have all the tools yet

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars V8Supercoupe says:

Years back, I had a Bronco 2 that I replaced 3 water pumps in a week from PepBoys.

That was a hard lesson in, "because it's new doesn't mean it works".

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars TGE says:

If only you knew about fuel vapor systems making all this sbs obsolete
And not what you were just working on, actual systems outlawed in 80s or whatever, 200 mpg w no mods, all day long
    Go fig

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars devilboykillz says:

why not do the smoke test with the new one on to make sure that one worked. lol

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Joshua Yang says:

also known fact its illegal for any parts store to erase engine light codes

  49. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Xmetal says:

that is exactly why some guys like Louis Rossman doing circult board repairs do not like when other shops clean the boards before they get to him because different stuff on the board (other than his own experience/knowledge) can help pinpoint the issue faster … when different stuff is cleaned off … it takes more time to troubleshoot

  50. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars You Can Do It!!! says:

Customer need to be purge 🙄
