My ex's name was Eric. He was a diesel mechanic. As was my dad. If I wanted any time with my dad Id have to work on cars. So I guess I'd say I know more than the average female but no enough. Right now, I'm living full time in my van. I'm alone & trying to get as much knowledge about my van bc it is home. Thank you Eric for being down to earth. Jesus bless you & Mrs O & your kids.โš“

The bus driver closes the door. In the case of school busses they close and latch the front door then exit the emergency door which is key locked from the outside. Newer ones you push the front door shut and it has a hook latch that can be turned from the outside then locked with a key. My grandpa drove for 40 years๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Thank you. That was long but fun. Wouldn't change a thing.
If you want to change something, call it the "SMA AMA SMACKDOWN", and when you feel you have answered a question, smack a Starburst with a hammer and let the audience guess what your favorite starburst is at the end. If you feel there should be a winner, then the First Two who guess correctly get a … pebble from outside? or a single Starburst of their choice from the standard set?
Otherwise, keep with the car stuff. It is cool how you keep it so serious yet entertaining / educational.

after many fixes the problem know is having to crank it about 5/6 times until it runs. Some times it does not, most times it does. In either case after it starts it runs very smooth and with a smooth idle also. what can cause this problem?
Cam and crank shaft sensors were replaced, intake hose, MAF sensor and throttle body were cleaned also.
Fuel pump is getting power and sounds when the key is turn to on.

For the record, I'm a 68 year old retired mechanical engineer, and I am addicted to your channel. I don't do as much of my own car maintenance as I used to, but I love to keep current with the technologies. You're one hell of a good troubleshooter. I also enjoy your humor and Mrs O's presence is always a treat.

I had an 1998 dodge Dakota kick my butt many years back. It was losing oil pressure. I still don't have it fixed. Replace oil pump clean engine and oil pan. Oil was not changed right. Replace oil pressure sensors also. Used oil manual gauge put in the oil pressure sensor that gauge reads. It drop down to 0 pressure. Talk to dodge they said a valve in rear main bearing the problem. What do you think?

I had an issue with my car I was loosing coolant but there was no leaks to be found and I was having hard starts always when the engine was cold or going cold , I took it to a mechanic and he found a head-gasket leak cylinder 2 and 3 had coolant so ,He putted in a new head-gasket but
I was still having misfiring on cylinder 2 and 3
The mechanic said it might be the ECU I was like wtf??
So coming home after talking to him the engine light came on and I got these codes , p0302, p0303, p0300 and the famous p1399
    What should I do now?

I cannot tell you how happy I was to find this video. Only to find it was live streamed in January…. My name is Karen and I have 2 questions: #1. Is there a young man (or son) that you can pass your wonderful knowledge on to?? I think you have a rare quality that is just not found anywhere today and should consider teaching. =) #2. I have a 2000 Camaro (w/hatchback) that has been giving me a problem. The interior dome lights go on and off as I drive at night.(during the day as well, although it's not noticed). An indicator light in the dash says a door is open, but that is a false reading. I'm sure it is also the reason for the recent draining of my battery. I am an electrician but cannot find the problem. What can I check?
