Ray, I know that all your Viewers would miss you but you would make a Great College Instructor in their Mechanic Dept., no more skinning Knuckles just Instructing young people how to Fix the Many Problems on Vehicles…

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars pinnkang says:

Perfect video for me. I have the exact same type of van with the same problems. Thanks a bunch Ray. 👍

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Edward Heck says:

I saw alot of crap on that dog house but you're killing yourself! Take it off! Take it ALL off! Do-da-do!

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Fuddleton says:

Not a great idea to use dielectric grease for hoses. Too heavy, will leave residue.
I always use a sprits of soapy water for putting on rubber hoses, except for fuel systems where I'll use petroleum jelly.

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Newbould says:

Great attitude to problem solving Eric, my old boss used to say their are no problems only solutions.

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars De Hamelhaantjes cochin says:

Tape holds it does not fix

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars sand 007 says:

Would Black RTV be effective in sealing the hose leak or is it just a temporary repair?

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John Google says:

    Victory is "nigh". 😉

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John Google says:

Cool video. I wonder if their loyalty to this other shop was misplaced?? 🤣🤣🤣

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hola! Adrian Revill says:

Probably dont want to show it on video, but the best lube for hoses is spit!

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars muffntheB says:

this entire vidieo is you wasting time and doing bad work because you refuse to open the massive access panel on the inside. 2 lunch box clips bro. 2 clips.

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kerry Lewis says:

That poor van has a lot of ouchies. Onto part 2

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Niquot says:

Was having some problems with my turbo, lack of power at low and mid revs, and the engine bay was generating more vibration then usual. Turn out those vacuum lines goes everywhere … and they start to break after 15+ years … all replaced .. all work as new.. 😀

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Neil Stone says:

    Fallen and can't get up

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Corn Digger says:

Go Pro Gravity 🤣 That van had plenty of problems 🇺🇸👍

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars SPIRITCAT says:

    Take the damn doghouse off!!!!

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Joe Seabert says:

Some call it crude, others old school, but I find cursing at the hose would help you

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dustin Taylor says:

You should use isopropyl alcohol to fit the hose together so it will dry and the hose can grip together vs being lubricated and possibly pulling apart especially by the next guy.

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Volker Korb says:

This is the best video about a rubber hose repair I have been watching so far and unfortunately without any legendary phone rings in the shop. Thanks Ray and greetings from Germany!

    Amazing job never surprised

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kim Nielsen says:

I get a lot of information in how to repair my own car. And Ray showes a lot via the camera. And his comments is just funny.

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ray Freedell says:

Ray, you mentioned having kids. If you have a baby camera, bring it to work, put it in the tight places and you can see what's going on. Live TV. My son-in-law had to push a 20' long beam under his house. He put a baby camera on the front and the monitor in the tractor so he could see what's what.

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Anthony Saponaro says:

LMMFAO @ I;ve already invested enough time in this trying to use the wrong tool , I'm just gonna double down . . . . .
I've come too far to turn back now

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rudolph Gutierrez says:

    don't wear rings at work

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars TheDaily Prepper says:

Why not get reducer coupler. That’s a bush fix.

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars kicknsystm says:

I use WD-40 on stubborn rubber lines. Everything from radiator hoses to vacuum lines. It dissipates after assembly. I've done it for years because I lack strength from health issues. If this isn't a good practice someone please let me know. I'm always willing to learn.

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bowhunters says:

Thats some old nasty rotten hose in that van.

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Daniel Stefanov says:

"Gotta figure how to reduce the size of these hoes" – me, after spending a day on Tinder

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ivan Olsen says:

once apon a time a section of the floor in the cabin could be removed

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars 1987 mercury says:

if i was doing that hose repair, instead of putting the 3/8" inside the 1/2", which could come apart in the future, I would just run an entire piece of 3/8" hose. it would eliminate the possibility of the hose coming apart and would appear better to the customer as well. Just my 2 cents on the matter. Regardless, keep these great videos coming!

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Robert Becker says:

Oh no i lost my gopro in the engine

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Eduardo Garcia says:

Despite the extra work, it might of been best to have taken the doghouse off. This would have given you easy access to also replace the vacuum hose that’s next to the one you are replacing already.

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Humberto Esteban says:

I think you can remove the cover inside the van to work on the back part of the engine i used to have one just like that

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Nathaniel Clark says:

You could have taken the doghouse off.

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Delekham says:

I don't know if it is JUST me, but Ray critizing Electrical Tape to fix a vacuum leak and then "Fixing" said hose with two different sizes of hoses…kinda makes the Kettle as BLACK as the Pot.
IF I knew what he did and I paid for the fix? I would be pissed because of a $4-30 dollar part instead of something that works in the short term.
I mean no disrespect Ray, but I would have ordered the correct part for the job.

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars George Bell says:

    👍

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris Burrell says:

This told me I never want to own a van ever..

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars tc seacliff says:

the bent needle nose would have made putting that hose back on inn the doghouse easier i believe!! as i was typing this I returned to the video and you had the other pliers!! LOL! like minds i guess!

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mr Nigel says:

Missing the "giggedy giggedy" when inserting hose….

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gerry Carmichael says:

Apparently pulling the MIL light bulb out of the cluster is pretty common in FL. Bought a car in Ft Lauderdale and drove it home to NH. Here we have state safety and emissions inspections. Imagine my surprise when it threw half a dozen codes and failed the inspection. Pulled the cluster. No bulb. Lesson learned. Now I always bring a code reader with me when buying a used car.

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bob Nob says:

eww that phone ring every time I hear it I hit the close button on the top right

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hola! Bob Wilson says:

Do your due diligence big buddy – just like you always do ! fna – nice job .

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Honey Bear says:
