I really recommend upgrading your masterlock padlocks to abus or something a little higher quality. You can get through just about any masterlock with a toothpick or a palmed rock. Source: personal experience and lockpicking lawyer.

Yep. My drive axle grease was purple. When i crashed my car. The axles were probably less than 3 months old. Cause i was having vibration issues in my gas pedal. And axles didnt fix it, nor did the engine mounts. Spark plugs was little brown no oil burning and just normal wear.
Loading that Miata straight off the towtruck safely onto the lift was a work of brilliance. I doff my cap to you Ray 👏👏👏

Two folks who know the others equipment is exactly how the world should work. My job revolves around knowing at a minimum 3 other professions. It is sad that I say minimum, but to prevent being screwed over we need to know 5 total professions. If we wanted to be the best at what we do we need to know around 8 specialty jobs outside of our own. People hate military, but that is the kind of thing we do because we have to.

I feel so sorry for the MX-5 machine. It's a most fun car I ever experienced. It doesn't need power. It's agile like a fox. Getting a car fun to drive at low to medium speeds is an art. Poor girl.

There's something you never see… a vehicle, on a flatbed, mounted to a shop lift. That was pretty cool. This is why you are the man, Ray.
Ray that forklift that you were using would’ve been just perfect fo moving the junkyard Miata into the shop heck you probably could’ve removed the engine and transmission using the fork lift alone and installing it in the not so wrecked Miata, or you could’ve used the motor out of your ATV to power the Miata

Ray, my ‘wife unit’ and I, and various others working the farm, have used cheap walkie-talkie talkies for decades to be heard over equipment noises and without wild gesturing. They even have them now with little mic/earphone headsets Just a thought. Maybe a couple sets on the same frequency.

Hopefully you verified the donor engine and trans are good, usually when the car is hammered like this, the drive train is also damaged.

Surprised you can't fit, I am 6'2" and drive a '93 Miata as my daily driver, have since I bought it new just under 30 years ago now.
