In this video I have a look at a 2001 Nissan Frontier that cam in with an ABS and SES light on. The ABS Code 4 indicating a problem in the dump circuit seems to go pretty well but I really drop the bomb while diagnosing the P0456. Then again, I am only human ๐ -Enjoy!

I really enjoy your content brother, youโre one of the last true proโs man. Thanks for sharing with all of us: would like to say Iโm learning a lot, but most of it just goes over my head ๐
What year and make is the truck?
Good job. You are a talented man. Lots of electronic knowledge flowing thru that brain of yours…
Awesome guys. It works
Hi Eric my god you have some rust over there Retired to N Z after 29 plus in UK rust belt do the occasional vehicle they are great here 20 plus years and no rust it's heaven. Keep up the good work mistake s and all.Thay way we all learn.
Watch many of your vides. Thank you for a great job.
I had a Fiero. It blinked the codes too!
one of the important things left out on this video is where did you get the abs hydraulic unit since nissan doesn't stock that part anymore and cardone industries doesn't have a replacement for imports.
What a coincidence,I have seen that rear number plate before on another vehicle.
Hi Eric, how do you know so much about wiring. To me it just looks like a bunch of spaghetti.
Just use some Panther pee. That usually works! Lol
Torch the spare off? It is useless anyways.
My Frontier wont go into gear, and I just bought it yesterday and drove around with no problems. Go to drive it today and it wont go into gear. I feel like Im gonna break my shifter if I pull it down too hard
That's why is good to double check.. like you did.. w.t.g….
Anyone else notice the sticker on the tailgate? Fred Beans. The beans came to SMA for this one.
nice video
You need to spray the he'll out of that thing now, in case you get the job. Likely you will if he's using his head.
Note to self: Don't but a used New York car. ๐๐
That's a nice Vanity plate that the truck has,,
Nice work on Mrs. O's part with the subtile ad for your church.
I feel fortunate to live in the dallas fort worth area where we rarely get snow or ice. Rust on vehicles down here is very uncommon seeing how the roads might get salted once every four or five years. I've had cars that are more than 25 years old and not have a trace of rust.
What did the president want?
I need some one to repair my 99 silverado from NY I have had it for 6 years and gas gauge still doesn`t work I`m disabled and unable to work on it more than 30 minutes then I`m done I`m in ne ohio
It's sad Nissan puts a fake spare tire on a truck where you might have a payload in the bed, be towing, be off road and far from the nearest tire shop, etc. It's yet another reason the Frontier has mostly been dead last in small truck sales.
Who is on the phone, the President? Mrs O just shrugs. Haha – That cracked me up!
Do you recommend rust-proofing to prevent a car that otherwise would run fine at this age from going to the crusher? And, if so, what do you find works best? Situation here in MA is equally as bad.
For a minute there I thought I was watching a movie about the Titanic. Man o Man that vehicle rusty. I can't imagine that vehicle is safe to drive. we are sure spoiled here where i live.
Eric doesn't make mistakes, he has to edit in mistakes to make him look human. He is after all the Chuck Norris of the Auto repair world.
Ahhh the ol count the flashes routine. So long as you have the data chart, works ok. I kept my Red Brick around just to test old OBD1 cars as well as the basic RWAL systems that cannot be accessed through the OBD2 port. I have a bag full of the connector adaptors. Papa always said "Never get rid of a tool. You'll need it as soon as it's gone." Also, nice self check on the purge sol. I thought I was crazy when I was thinking, it's not power side switched when you described the diagram… Oh well, you showed us that we all make 'happy mistakes' from time to time ๐
A guy I worked with had his Chevy Avalanche totaled because it was from the rusty-crusty part of the world because corrosion ate through his ABS valve body and there were none available to replace it.
Record the fix. If he doesn't fix it, show it being CRUSHED
Would you consider doing a spark plug change on a 2014 Ford F-150 with the 3.7 engine?ย Would love to see you do it.
I find it interesting that you are using the Power Probe IV a lot BUT, you are not using it in the "traditional" sense (injecting power into a component). I certainly hope the rest of your viewer understand this !
You do not have to be so concerned about letting the viewers know about fixing your poke holes. It's only the idiot's that know nothing that will comment about it. Ah did you see that he poked a hole and didn't fix it. Keep up the good work
That valve looks identical to that of one I seen in the wrecking yard on a Chevy. Wish I could remember which one. Those lines looked "good". I miss flash code reminds me of the old school honda/Toyota stuff from when I was apprentice oh the glory years.
Kenny Wayne on SMA
I'm old enough to remember when the current Nissan was…Datsun. A game of Space Invaders, anyone?
Do you ever get any other europian cars in other than vw's. I have a vaxuhall and the gear box went on me after 108 thousand miles apparently its commen in the type i have.
I need you to get out the gas ax and pull the rusty spare tire down.
Can you post a video to show us how to exam Toyota ATF temperature and replace the ATF fluid for the model w/o a dipstick? Best w/o expensive scan tool. Thank you
I learn as much from what you decide not to do as I do from what you do. You are a great teacher! Thank you
Eric. Love these videos.
Remember – You are never wrong! Just different levels of right.
Great video @South Main Auto
Hey brother, everyone has a brain fart every now and again. Btw, Iโm so glad I donโt live in the rust belt. I canโt imagine the BS you have to go through to deal with rusty bull ship!!! Enjoy your channel.
What other quality tools do you recommend besides the name brand's not macco mactools snap on
Hey Eric u think the customer needs a spare tire hoist also??
Nice! Oh and interesting headliner! ๐
I guess the old adage measure twice cut once applies to wire also. stay crusty lol
Look at that rust gohhhl lol
